Second Massive Open Online Course Released

In January 2020, the Center’s Education and Training team launched its first online health equity course tailored to health professionals. Foundations of Health Equity is available on Coursera.org for free, or $49 for official completion and certificate. Please visit our webpage dedicated to Online Learning courses for further details about the course.

Due to the success of Foundations of Health Equity and the growing demand for online educational tools, the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity announces its second massive open online course (MOOC). Application of Health Equity Research Methods for Practice and Policy is now live on at Coursera.org/learn/health-equity-research-methods.

This course is for students who have completed the Foundations of Health Equity Research course and/or have previous experience working in this area. It will cover innovative methods, practical tools, and skills required to conduct rigorous health equity research and translate evidence-based strategies into practice and policy. Covers topics ranging from conceptual frameworks for stakeholder engagement and behavioral intervention development, to adapting interventions for socially-at-risk populations, and research methods in healthcare services and social epidemiology.
