BBC Broadcast on the Impact of COVID-19 on Minority Populations in the US and UK

As one of the world’s foremost experts on how race and social circumstances mediate public health, Johns Hopkins University doctor, professor, and researcher Lisa Cooper has found herself in demand internationally during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the May edition of the “The Evidence,” an audio publication of the BBC, Dr. Cooper joins a panel of international scholars to discuss multiple aspects of the COVID-19 crisis. The episode includes info on how genetics may affect individual responses to coronavirus; how Vietnam stopped the virus; how countries should be ending lockdowns; and why black and minority communities in the UK and US are hit hard by COVID-19.
