THE HEALTH EQUITY VOICES SERIES

Welcome! The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity’s HealthEquityVoices Series is a multimedia storytelling initiative to build understanding and empathy around the public health challenge of health inequity. It combines vivid portrait photography with compelling quotations from conversational interviews to showcase the personal experiences of those involved with, or impacted by, efforts to address the complicated social, economic, and environmental barriers limiting health for all.

We’ll add profiles to this collection each month. Profiles will also be featured on our social accounts including as Twitter, Instagram, and Flickr.

*** UPDATE, JUNE 2020. Please note, new profiles for this series are currently on hold due to in-person restrictions related to COVID-19. Portraits and interviews will commence when it safe to do so.
